There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Film by the Water
Our Stage 3 high potential film makers had their film featured on the big screen as part of the Port Stephens Schools Film by the Water competition.
Deadly Awards
Congratulations to our 2025 Deadly Award recipients! These awards included Love of Learning, Sporting Excellence, Significant influence and leadership of Aboriginal Education.
Deadly Lyrics
Stage 3 students participated in a high potential enrichment writing opportunity called Deadly Lyrics. Over three weeks they were inspired to write their own poems after exploring texts, lyrics and poems by Aboriginal authors.
Book Week
Book week is always a fantastical time at Wirreanda! Our librarian, Mrs Whitty, dressed up as Cat in the Hat with the rest of the staff dressing up as Thing 1 and 2.
Stage 1 Bike Day
Year 1 and 2 brought their bikes to school for a fun learning session of bike activities. We were impressed with their perseverance up the big hill on the playground!
Writing Enrichment
Rocco and Amelia attended the Port Stephens high potential writing enrichment day at Anna Bay Public School. They participated in writing workshops where they were immersed in a variety of cultures for the writing stimulus.
